Immediate actions to support your contract bargaining team

JOIN YOUR UNION and your coworkers in helping to protect and build your contract! We must bargain from a position of unity and strength.
The most significant impact comes from members and every new member strengthens that effect. If you are not a member, VM will simply assume you are happy with what they are offering, and they shouldn’t change a thing. YOU can help make needed changes in your workplace by filling out a membership application at https://www.wsna.org/membership.
Tell Management your story by visiting https://forms.office.com/r/2PAJp2nG0m. Nurses sharing their stories will directly impact our team's ability to negotiate for all our nurse colleagues. They see you as a number, now we need them to see you as people. People who have been through a pandemic. People who are tired and fed up with chronic staffing issues that could put your license and patients’ safety at risk, tired of managements excuses. If they can afford travelers, why can’t the afford to pay their nurses better in the first place? Tell them how that makes you feel.
Join the Private Virginia Mason RNs Facebook Group. This is a space to get updates on the contract bargaining, ask questions, post union-strong photos, and share stories. https://www.facebook.com/groups/virginiamasonrns.

Build on union presence by wearing your WSNA swag: buttons, pens, badge buddies (with your Rights of Representation), badge reels. Ask your Unit Rep or email your WSNA Nurse Organizer, Crystal Doll, for a fresh supply.
Staffing or Safety Concern: Nurses standing together for safe staffing and completing a Staffing Compliant/ADO form is the first step. Visit WSNA.org/ado to submit a form.
