We have a contract at United!
Posted Sep 14, 2020
WSNA is excited to announce a 1-year contract with PeaceHealth corporate for the United nurses. In this unprecedented year, we are pleased to report that PeaceHealth has agreed to honor the contract as it is, without any changes for the period of a year, and has agreed to a 3% wage increase for this contract term.
This decision allows for financial security for the nurses while preserving the employment benefits of the current contract and allows for hospital recovery from the pandemic prior to negotiating the contents of the entire contract. The “deep dive” negotiations will take place in a year’s time.
In addition, your elected WSNA officers have sworn a commitment to continue in their current roles through this next contract year and have pledged to negotiate on behalf of the nurses at the next negotiation cycle. Please extend a huge thank you to them when you see them! United is blessed to have a team of dedicated professionals who love their co-workers and their hospital and want only the best for their teams. They will continue to work on your behalf all year long.
