We have a Tentative Agreement!
Posted Jan 7, 2020
Together, we achieved a major victory for Sacred Heart nurses and our Spokane community.
Early this morning, after a 20-hour marathon negotiating session—and 33 hours over 2 days—our Sacred Heart bargaining team reached a Tentative Agreement with management. We’ll have more information today and inthe days to come as you consider this TA, but here are a few key points we want to highlight:
NO takeaways on PTO/EIT, no short-term disability changes
We captured every penny of the full amount of retro that the employer would have paid out. The distribution is in the form of a ratification bonus: $2,100 for full- and part-time nurses (prorated by FTE) and $500 for supplemental nurses working more than 400 hours in 2019
Total wage increases of 10% for the duration of this contract, including 5% increase upon ratification
Strong, enforceable language on staffing and workplace safety
Solidarity gotus here. After 14 months of negotiations, your steadfast commitment won the day. From the earliest informational meetings to our strike preparations, you had the courage to stand up to Providence’s scare tactics and bullying and demand a fair deal for yourselves and investment in patient care.
Our ratification vote is scheduled for January 16, vote times and location details to come.
