It will be drop in style with social distancing. Your officers and nurse rep will be on hand to answer questions and review articles you may have questions concerning.

We will have on hand copies of the contract red-lined showing and highlighting the changes that have been agreed upon. Those will ONLY be available at the vote and all copies must remain in the room. However, we have prepared a summary of changes for you to have ahead of time and you can easily read the affected articles in the current contract. The summary will also be available at the vote.

In order to comply with all the legal responsibilities of ratification, the vote must be held in person within those time frames. Again, a reminder that only full members are permitted to vote on this important contract. Application forms can be found on the wsna.org website in the Membership section.

The officers have volunteered their time on your behalf for negotiations however, the hospital will contribute some matching funds to help compensate for the time the officers spent at the table in negotiations. These funds will be calculated and applied along with PTO donations. The donation form can be obtained from HR.

Please consider serving as an elected officer for this upcoming three-year contract cycle. We will be having elections after the ratification for our new executive team member. We will consider volunteers for positions of Chair, vice-chair, treasurer, secretary and membership. The list of officers and duties can be found in your Island Hospital Local Unit Rules on the website.
