We've got a Tentative Agreement!

On Oct. 14, 2021, after 12 hours and nearly a year at the bargaining table your contract negotiation team has finally arrived at a deal that we can recommend to the WSNA members!
Following months of back and forth with hospital management, your negotiation team:
- Fought off use it or lose it PTO.
- Fought off most takeaways for currently employed per diem and part time RNs.
- Fought off low PTO caps with no compensation for existing above-cap accruals.
- Fought off management's initial wage proposal of 1.5% in year 1, 1% in year 2 and 1% in year 3.
- Won an 11.75% wage increase over the life of the contract with 6.75% effective Oct. 17!
- Won the option to use sick and PTO time to top off benefits received while on Washington State Family and Medical leave.
- Fought for an increase in charge pay to $3 per hour.
- Fought to increase night shift pay to $4.75 per hour.
- Agreed to increase vision coverage from $400 to $600 per year.
- Agreed to increase dental coverage from $1,500 to $2,000 per year.
- Fought for a $750 ratification bonus.
Additionally, there were many other gains won.
