Negotiations update
Posted Nov 12, 2019
On Nov. 5, 2019 your contract negotiation team met with hospital management for the 2nd time. We made some progress and received the hospital's proposal on non-economics issues. Tentative agreements were reached on language regarding charge nurse orientation, rest between shifts, new employee orientation and deletion of intermittent break language. Your team expects to receive the employer’s economic proposal at the next negotiation session.
Our next meeting with hospital management is set for Nov. 18.
We have scheduled a local unit meeting on Dec. 5 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Conference Room C to get your feedback!
The meeting is being conducted on a drop-in basis, so stop by anytime to get an in-person negotiation update!
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Nurses Speak event on Nov. 6! State Legislators Blake and Chapman were very appreciative of the discussion with the nurses who attended.
