As a WSNA member, you join a powerful collective voice advocating for nurses at all levels. We champion your interests in the legislature, with regulatory agencies, and at the bargaining table. Your voice matters.

WSNA and the American Nurses Association help you advance your practice, leadership skills, and advocacy power. We offer a broad range of education opportunities for members, including online CNE, webinars, in-person workshops, and conferences.

When you join, you become part of a community of dedicated, passionate nurses supporting each other and the profession. WSNA members connect with colleagues at the facility, regional, state, and national level through in-person and online events and activities.

WSNA elevates nurses’ collective voice, advocating for better working conditions, safe staffing, fair compensation, and patient safety while holding employers accountable through contracts, legal action, and regulatory pressure.
“With WSNA, I am part of a powerful, unified movement that stands up for the rights of nurses and our profession.”

“WSNA has been a vehicle for me to develop my advocacy skills and engage more in health policy activities that support positive changes for nurses.”

“WSNA supports me as a leader in my hospital and as an advocate for nurses statewide and nationally.”

“WSNA has always been a place for respectful dialogue. I’ve made great connections. The nursing practice group is unmatched. I know I can call and talk through an issue and get an expert opinion.”

“As a member of WSNA, I have the power to fight for workplace respect and professional standards — things that support my practice and help me give my patients the very best care.”

“With WSNA, we don’t have to do anything alone. Your fellow nurses support you in your leadership practice.”

Each year, a survey is done of the fifth-step pay rate for RNs at every facility represented by WSNA for collective bargaining. These figures are then put in a formula which determines the annual WSNA dues.
Individual member dues are calculated to include membership dues to the American Nurses Association and your regional nurses’ association.
That’s because we do the calculating for you based on your location and, for union members, FTE. But you can see what your dues will be by checking out the charts here.
These professional organizations provide educational opportunities, scholarships, and networking on a local level. Learn more about your regional association.
No. The WSNA PAC, which endorses and supports candidates for office who support nurses and our issues, is funded by voluntary individual contributions.
